Helga E. Schauer

Helga Schauer has been working in the insurance industry for 28 years. She started her career as a claims representative for CSAA. Her experience in the industry includes claims administration, litigation management and reinsurance examining. Environments she has worked in include major insurance carriers, brokerages, an independent adjusting firm, a program manager and a reinsurance company. Her expertise includes coverage interpretation, reserve evaluation, fraud recognition, negotiation and settlement strategies. She currently holds a Fire and Casualty Agent/Broker license in the State of California. The daughter of a published writer of children’s books, she grew up writing and editing. Throughout her career, Helga’s writing ability and penchant for research, has saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in claims costs and helped many insurance company customers and claimants recover from serious crashes and disruptions to their lives.
