Holly Harmon
Holly Harmon began her claims career in 1991 in Southern California, handling claims for State Compensation Insurance Fund. The clients included a large variety of industry types and sizes, and Holly’s case load included attorney-represented files and cases where severe injuries, or death occurred, with or without attorney representation.
She later accepted a position with Industrial Indemnity, a commercial carrier which was based in Los Angeles, and provided full investigations and reports to staff adjusters. At that time, Industrial Indemnity provided workers’ compensation coverage and services to two major aerospace firms in Southern California. Her investigations were done primarily on the premises of the clients, and also, off site when necessary.
Upon voluntary relocation to Texas, Ms. Harmon was employed by GEICO Insurance Co., where she handled a caseload of claims which involved both Property Damage and Bodily Injury. She was twice formally recognized for the quality of her claims handling and was three times granted highest status in her claims group for quality and timeliness in handling claims. Ms. Harmon exceeded the majority of required objectives in all facets of claims handling. She held licenses in Texas, as well as Oklahoma and New Mexico.
In 1998, Ms. Harmon relocated to Ohio, to be near an aging and ill relative. She provided claims handling to a major insurance carrier, to include investigation of both liability and property damage claims and bodily injury claims. Her experience also included investigation and handling of various commercial claims. She subsequently received specific claim assignments from Insurance Overload Staffing, handling primary commercial coverages for a variety of carriers.
Ms. Harmon currently provides claims handling as an Independent Contractor for a large Third Party Administrator from her home in Texas. These involve commercial entities and include investigation of a variety of Liability claims and often also include the handling of Bodily Injury claims. She holds a current Adjusters’ License in both Texas and Washington state.
In addition to her claims career, Holly enjoys traveling, writing, painting in watercolor, evenings with family & friends and cooking. Her most treasured travel memory is a three month backpacking tour through Europe, several years ago.
